Description

As the number of states legalizing medical cannabis increases, so does the need for an educated workforce to respond to the demand for medical cannabis with an understanding and expertise regarding the science and therapeutic effects of this medicinal plant. Traditional educational programs for healthcare practitioners, analytical chemists, agriculturists, policymakers, and business and sales professionals have not typically included instruction on the science, policy, and therapeutics of medical cannabis. Specifically, healthcare professionals report significant gaps in their cannabis-related knowledge, which this program aims to start to rectify. This session by Drs. Sera and Johnson will introduce the field of medical cannabis science and therapeutics and will be accessible to all.
