This two-day workshop is scheduled on a Friday and Saturday.
Total Credits: 12 Supervision CEs
This workshop exposes supervisors to critical knowledge and skills, situational scenarios, and strategies for effective leadership. Participants will examine issues related to workplace culture, climate, and personal differences that institutionalize various types of behavior and interactions. Participants will begin developing a leadership development plan. This workshop is designed for human service supervisors and managers who are new to supervision or have some supervisory experience and would like to sharpen their supervisory/leadership skills.
This workshop meets the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners’ requirements for Supervision CEs. Additionally, this workshop also meets the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners’ requirement for Board-Approved Supervisors to complete 12 credit hours of continuing education in social work supervision (COMAR 10.42.08.04).
Dr. Pamela Love is the founder of DP Love Enterprises, LLC, and established the Finishers Network, a division of the company committed to disrupting excuses to help individuals and organizations achieve their goals.
Pam also serves as a Partner of Expand-Now, a company dedicated to fostering leadership growth across the country. Pam has worked with diverse populations including social work professionals, public defenders, people who have been/are justice involved, violence interrupters, youth in foster care, as well as executives, managers, and front-line workers.
Pam holds a B.S. in Applied Psychology from Coppin State University, a master’s and Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Maryland and is certified to utilize the National Institutes for Correction’s Thinking for a Change curriculum. In addition to prior service on numerous boards and committees, Pam was appointed by Maryland’s Governor to serve on the Family Violence Council and serves on the Board of Executive Alliance. She is the recipient of numerous honors and awards for her outstanding contributions to the community.

Category I Maryland BSWE Requirement
The Office of Continuing Professional Education at the University Of Maryland School Of Social Work is authorized by the Board of Social Work Examiners in Maryland to sponsor social work continuing education programs. This workshop qualifies for 12 Category I Continuing Education Units for supervision. The Office of Continuing Professional Education is also authorized by the Maryland Board of Psychologists and the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors to sponsor Category A continuing professional education.
