Description

Restorative Justice is a theory of justice that emphasizes repairing harm. It includes everyone that has done harm or has experienced harm and allows for those involved to encounter the other side and create space for healing. This session provides an in-depth introduction into the history and philosophy of Restorative Justice Resolution. Participants in this workshop will go through a series of activities and experiences including role playing to build trust, create shared values, and conflict resolution. Participants will also be challenged to shift their thinking from punitive to restorative as they think about how we build relationships and how we respond to conflict and incidents of harm.

For the past year and a half Randy has worked as a Restorative Practices consultant with Sage Wellness Group. Randy believes that Restorative Practices will not only change the way we interact with each other, but more importantly it gives us the tools to build a sense of community, repair harm, and restore relationships.
